Darshan College interacts with Silk, Soap &
Detergent Industries at Mysore Realizing the
need for practical exposure and the tough
pre-requisites from the job market or what we
call employability, Darshan College ventured
into an Industrial Trip to Mysore. The
interaction with the world-class Industries such
as Karnataka Silk Industries, Karnataka Soaps
and Detergents Ltd., held the students high in
awe and admiration. The visualization of the
manufacturing process itself is a marvel, from
the nature’s gift sandalwood tree transformed
into perfumed sandalwood Beauty Soap. At the
silk weaving industry, the various machines at
work weave, design and colour the most
magnificent sarees worn by the Indian beauties.
Way back home students paid a visit to St.
Philomena’s Church and Balmuri Falls, thus had
an interaction with nature and it’s nurture!
