“Give Blood Give Life”: DARSHAN COLLEGE NSS UNIT
Darshan College NSS Unit is all active all through the days and months. To begin the new academic year with “pro-life” initiatives, it launched the blood donation camp with the unique motto “Give blood, give life”. The Director, the Principals, the Staff and the Students supported the venture of the NSS Unit with all enthusiasm and vigor. Some even volunteered to give two units of blood to the Indian Red Cross Society, but having the regulations “one unit at one time” were disappointed. For some others however the good will to donate blood, the blood from veins did not flow. What a disappointment! But the most important thing to notice is that the younger generation is becoming more and more conscious of their duties and social responsibilities towards the poor and the marginalized of the society. The Act of conscientisation and concrete realization in donating blood to the lesser privileged one’s of the society was appreciated by the Lions Club of Jayanagar. Thanks to the efforts of Prof. Winston Vanspall, and the Student Coordinators: Jyothi, Ruby Priya and Balakiran. Long live life of those who are in need of blood donation!
