‘Anthonians College Day’ celebrated at Darshan College

The maiden ‘Antonians College Day’ was celebrated on 5th March, 2011 at Darshan College Auditorium. The vice president of Capuchin Education Board, Fr. Dolphy Pais was the guest of honour. He in his address appreciated the quality of education maintained in the college and sought for the wholehearted co-operation of all the staff and the students.

The principal of Degree College Fr. Veerus Concessao presented the report of the academic year which involved several activities. The Director of the institution Fr. Chetan Lobo after giving away the prizes to the meritorious students assured the staff and the students that though today the college community is small, there are all the possibilities of growing up to the level of prestigious institutions of the city.

Mr. Abilash (B.B.M. IVsemester), Sr. Jomy George (B.B.M. II semester) and Ms Tejaswini (B.Com II semester) received cash prizes for their brilliant performances in their studies.

Then followed a number of cultural items, namely songs and dances both Indian and Western. The two hour long programme was packed with action. Ms. Solavalli welcomed the gathering and the Students’ Council president Mr. Albin Francis proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Siddiqa Taranum and Mr.Shakkir along with Mr. Paul Enni and Ms. Jyothi George compeered the programme.
