“Dancing Feet” – Dance Competition @ St.
Anthony’s PU College Dance is an art of performance which
combines a selected sequence of human movement,
in tune with music and rhythm. It is a visual
representation of the “sitz-im-leben” of
the people and place’s tradition, culture,
customs and religion. Varied dance forms,
festivals and competitions portray not only the
intermingling of devotion and art but also of
passion and fascination. To platform such a rich
heritage and legacy of dance St Anthony’s PU
College organized “Dancing Feet” with
eminent judges who are proficient in dance and
art, Rev. Fr. Deepak Fernandes, Provincial
Secretary of the Capuchin Province of Karnataka,
Prof. Dr. Suvarna Patra of R.V. Engineering
College, Ms Jennifer and Ms Swizel two modern
icons of dance. Well-choreographed dance
sequences enthralled the audience and
entertained every musical vein of the assembled
gathering. The Principal Rev. Fr. Roshan Rosario
expressed his gratitude to the praiseworthy
dancing queens and princes, then he thanked the
judges for the appraisal of the dancing feet
with their expertise!
