“Industrial Visit” Darshan College, Kengeri
“On we go to Industries” for the first-hand experience of Production & Management was the mantra of Darshanites. 120 Darshan students ventured joyfully to explore the practicability and functionality of industries in two buses of KSRTC. They visited Sri Chamundeswari Sugar Mills, Mandya and observed the manufacturing process of sugarcane converted into Sugar. It was an amazing experience for all degree students as they visualized practical process of transformation. They saw, they touched and they tasted enough and more sugar which sweetened their whole semester. Then they geared up for the second industry to Sri Somasekara Fertilizers Limited, Maddur. Looking at the enthusiastic youth curious about the production process and bit nauseated by the smell of the chemicals, the Managing Director Mr. S. P. Swamy and the Production Manager Mr. Murali Iyengar had pity on the younger generation and offered graciously the refreshments for all. Mouthful of sugar in one industry, stomach full of refreshments in another industry made all Darshanites happy and joyful!
